Getting your player ready...

ANAHEIM — They had blown a lead. Their ace disappeared in a huff. The Angels were hanging on by dental floss and a dream.

Then, as they have so many times when pressure reaches Code Red, they started monkeying around.

On the JumboTron above the right-field bleachers Thursday, the high-pitched, evil-smiling inspirational primate made a cameo in the movie “Back to the Future,” then began hopping to House of Pain’s “Jump Around.”

In two swings, the Angels capped a furious seventh-inning comeback, securing a 7-6 victory to remain breathing in the American League Championship Series.
