The Colorado State volleyball team suffered its first conference loss, getting swept at Texas Christian 25-23, 25-22, 25-10 on Thursday night.

The Rams (16-4, 8-1 Mountain West) did not have a single player in double figures in kills, and only setter Evan Sanders had a hitting percentage above .300, hitting .333 with four kills. She also had 21 assists.

The Horned Frogs moved to within a game of CSU in the conference, improving to 7-2, 18-5 overall. TCU set a school attendance record with 1,875 fans.

Adams St., Western St. in wrestling top 10.

The Adams State and Western State wrestling teams are projected to finish the upcoming season exactly where they finished last season, according to the poll from the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association.

ASC and WSC are picked fifth and seventh, respectively. Those were their places at the national championships in March.

The Grizzlies return two defending champions, both ranked No. 1 to start the season: Arsenia Barksdale at 125 pounds and Kyle Sand at 184. Kathleen McCleary won the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle races to pace the Colorado State swimming and diving team to a 173-124 win over TCU at Moby Pool.
