WATSONVILLE, Calif. — California officials say a wildfire in the Santa Cruz Mountains has prompted mandatory evacuations of about 60 homes. Fire officials say the blaze that started about 3 a.m. Sunday had burned 600 acres by evening and was 20 percent contained. The cause has not been determined.
