The Denver Post has named Geri Meireis as its new marketing director. Meireis, with the newspaper since 1984 and its brand marketing manager since 1999, will report to Kirk MacDonald, executive vice president for advertising, marketing and digital sales.
“This is a well-deserved promotion for Geri, who understands the market and our media strategy,” said Jerry Grilly, Denver Post president and chief executive. “She can move us forward right out of the gate.”
Meireis will oversee the newspaper’s creative, research and marketing teams, plus all sponsorships. She worked closely with marketing creative director Tim Dubus on the newspaper’s current “I want to know” campaign.
The Post also promoted Lennie Changeux to marketing manager. She oversaw special sections, co-op advertising and advertising communications. She will report to Meireis. The Denver Post
