The Tragically Hip has maintained a consistent recording schedule over the past few years, but the Canadian cult- rockers have been especially visible in the States recently. That continues with the April album “We Are the Same,” and the tour behind it that brings the band to the Ogden Theatre on Sunday. $30- $35.

David Bazan is hitting the road behind his gorgeous, low-key new album “Curse Your Branches.” His Sunday show heads up a killer week of indie rock at the Hi-Dive, including Awesome New Republic (Monday), El Ten Eleven (Tuesday) and Headlights (Thursday). Visit for prices and times.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra often gets lumped in with Mannheim Steamroller, another act that injects equal amounts of theatricality and technology into its holiday tunes. But while Mannheim is painfully schmaltzy, TSO is an honest-to-God rock orchestra — with all the sparkling costumes and withering guitar solos that implies. On the heels of “Night Castle,” the band has launched a nine-week, 80-city tour, including a concert at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday and two at Colorado Springs’ World Arena on Wednesday. $44-$68.
