The Pine River Times, which announced last week that it was shutting down, has received interest from possible investors and buyers and will continue publishing.
Melanie Mazur, the editor and publisher of the La Plata County weekly, posted a letter on the newspaper’s website saying, “I have received some interest from some possible investors and buyers, but if there’s going to be anything for them to buy, I have to keep publishing.” She also said a friend had offered to pay the print bill this week.
