DENVER—The chairman and CEO of Landry’s Restaurants Inc. says he doesn’t expect to make any big changes to any of the company’s eight properties in Colorado.
Tilman Fertitta plans to take the restaurant chain private next year. The company’s board approved his $1.2 billion all-cash offer to buy the company on Tuesday.
Landry’s owns the Downtown Aquarium in Denver as well as Willie G’s, which Fertitta says will get a $1 million “refreshing.” He says he’ll keep investing in the aquarium, which he says has become one of the company’s “treasures.”
Landry’s, the nation’s second-largest operator of seafood restaurants behind Red Lobster owner Darden Restaurants Inc.
