Beginning today and continuing into December, The Container Store will offer free gift-wrapping and bow demonstrations every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. In addition to a chance to survey new gift-wrapping trends and materials, the store will give away a $25 gift card at each demonstration. “Christmas At Our House”

The historic Bosworth Mansion at 1400 Josephine St. is gussied up in its holiday best for this annual fundraiser for the Denver chapter of The Assistance League. Built in 1889, the house retains many of the original wall treatments, millwork, fireplaces, light switches, bathroom fixtures and furnishings. Sunday through Nov. 14, visitors can get a rare peek inside this landmark residence, which is decorated with one-of-a-kind greenery and crafts for the holidays. House tours, special events and a gift boutique are part of the weeklong event, which benefits the Assistance League’s philanthropic programs including Operation School Bell, Arts for Kids and various scholarship programs. Members of the public can tour the house and shop the holiday boutique 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 14. Admission is $5.
