Getting your player ready...

CHICAGO — Avalanche forward Darcy Tucker, who missed the past eight games after a concussion, was activated from the injured reserve list and will be available tonight when Colorado faces the Blackhawks at 6:30 p.m.

Milan Hejduk, though, was not at the team’s morning skate in Chicago and will be out of the lineup tonight. The forward is enduring a back injury.

After a rough hit from Carolina’s Tuomo Ruutu on Oct. 23, Tucker lost consciousness, suffered a concussion and was wheeled off the ice. He had four goals and two assists in 10 games for the Avs until then.

The Avs also announced defenseman John-Michael Liles was put on the injured reserve list with a shoulder injury.

Tonight’s game airs on Altitude TV and on KKHI-101.9 FM.
