No. 1 Kansas 101, Hofstra 65: Xavier Henry hit five 3-pointers and scored 27 points to set a school freshman record, and the Jayhawks won their 37th straight home opener Friday night.

No. 2 Michigan State 97, Florida Gulf Coast 58: Durrell Summers’ go-ahead dunk on an alley- oop sparked a 17-4 run that sent the Spartans to their 33rd straight victory in a home opener.

No. 4 Kentucky 75, Morehead State 59: Freshman Eric Bledsoe scored 24 points, Patrick Patterson added 20 points — including his first career 3-pointer — to go with 12 rebounds, and Darnell Dodson scored 15 points as the Wildcats pulled away in the second half in Lexington, Ky.

No. 5 Villanova 84, Fairleigh Dickinson 61: Corey Stokes ignited the host Wildcats with 17 points in the second half, including four 3-pointers and a three-point play.
