After months of stalled negotiations, the Boulder Valley teachers union tentatively agreed Friday to a contract offer that’s nearly identical to one they rejected in September, the Daily Camera reported.
The tentative agreement, which still must be voted on by union members, would give teachers a 1 percent cost-of-living raise, full coverage in health and dental benefits, two additional paid days of work and extra stipends for some employees, the Camera said.
The tentative agreement deletes a “memorandum of understanding” that would have formed a task force to look at salary reform in the district, the newspaper reported.
Even though union representatives have tentatively agreed to a contract, the union members could reject the deal when they vote this week. Union leaders are not making a recommendation for the vote.
