Mays scored with just more than four minutes remaining in OT. The Roadrunners advanced to Friday’s regional championship vs. Colorado Mines at noon.

Eagles suffer first regulation loss.

Bruce Graham had a goal and three assists to lead the visiting Allen Americans to a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Eagles (7-1-1) in a Central Hockey League game in Loveland. It was the Eagles’ first loss in regulation this season.

Casey gets national team nod.

Coach Bob Bradley named Rapids forward Conor Casey to the U.S. men’s national team’s 22-player roster for an international friendly against host Denmark on Wednesday.

CSU volleyball team wins MWC title.

The Colorado State volleyball team won a five-set thriller over Brigham Young in Provo, Utah, late Saturday night, clinching the Mountain West Conference championship. The Rams (22-4, 14-1) won 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 27-25, 15-12 for their 11th conference title.

Pioneers seeded sixth in Sun Belt tourney.

The Denver volleyball team will have the No. 6 seed in the Sun Belt Conference tournament when the Pioneers travel to face No. 3 Western Kentucky in Thursday’s opening round. Florida International is the No. 1 seed.

Tigers cross country team gets at-large berth.

The NCAA awarded the Colorado College men’s cross country team an at-large berth to the Division III championships, to be run Saturday in Cleveland.

PBA stop moves to Wheat Ridge.

The Professional Bowlers Association tour stop at Lava Lanes in Medford, Ore., has been canceled because of economic issues and relocated to Brunswick Zone in Wheat Ridge.

PBA commissioner Fred Schreyer says Lava Lanes is financially unable to host the Don and Paula Carter Mixed Doubles event Jan. 4-10.

The event in Wheat Ridge will take place Feb. 15-21.
