All of the passengers on a Frontier Airlines plane that collided with a flock of birds and forced to land in Kansas City Saturday night, are expected to arrive in Denver today.

The plane was headed for Denver when it struck the birds at 6 p.m., shortly after take off from Kansas City International Airport.

At lease one of the Airbus 319’s engines was damaged, according to Frontier spokesman Steve Snyder.

No injuries were reported among the approximately 120 people on board the plane.

People started taking alternative flights out of Kansas City as early as last night, Snyder said.

The rest of the passengers are expected to arrive in Denver through out today.

The No. 2 engine was damaged. However, the twin-engine jet still had power when the aircraft landed safely and taxied on the runway, according to the report.

The condition of the plane is not known, Snyder said.

It is not known what kind of birds the plane hit.
