BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder teachers tentatively have agreed to a contract that includes a 1 percent cost-of-living raise and full coverage of health and dental benefits.
The agreement reached Friday follows months of stalled negotiations with the Boulder Valley School District. Teachers have carried picket signs at schools and protested at school board meetings.
The teachers’ union has sought higher starting pay and rewarding teacher education. School district officials say they are still interested in discussing different forms of compensation.
Union leaders signed the tentative agreement, but didn’t recommend how members should vote.
