One man died and three people were injured in an early morning crash on West 6th Avenue in Denver, police said.
The crash happened at about 12:10 a.m. when a Buick was heading west in the eastbound lanes of 6th Avenue near Santa Fe Drive, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
The Buick collided with a Jeep with three people in it, Jackson said.
The driver of the Buick and all three people in the Jeep were taken to Denver Health Medical Center.
The Buick driver was pronounced dead at the medical center. The three in the Jeep were not seriously injured, Jackson said.
The driver of the Jeep faces possible DUI charges, Jackson said.
A third vehicle was also damaged in the crash, but no one in that vehicle was injured.
Police did not release any names of the people involved. The highway was icy and slick at the time of the crash, Jackson said.
