LONGMONT, Colo.—A 91-year-old man is ringing the bell at a Salvation Army kettle for the 41st year.
Frank Young volunteered for kettle duty at a grocery store in Longmont on Saturday.
He’s been a bell ringer since 1968 and says he’s never missed a year.
Young says he started as a bell-ringer through a Longmont chapter of the Kiwanis Club.
The Salvation Army held a ceremony Saturday to honor his service.
