ARVADA — A 32-year-old cellphone salesman in Arvada is charged with Internet luring after he allegedly sent text messages to a 13-year-old girl and later to an undercover police officer to arrange a meeting for sex.
Prosecutors said Timothy Robert Shea sold the girls’ mother a phone. While in the shop, he tested a phone the teen already had by sending a text message. He continued texting the girl after she left the store.
The girl told her mother, who told authorities. Undercover officers set up a sting Friday, when they arrested Shea.
He is free on $25,000 bond.
