Anniversary celebration.
Charlie’s FlyBox, recently named the top fly retailer in the country, will celebrate its fifth anniversary 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the shop, 7513 Grandview Ave., 303-403-8880.
Noted tying authority Charlie Vestal will join proprietor Charlie Craven in a series of demonstrations, along with raffles and giveaways.
Parks cleanups.
Seven Colorado state parks will be part of a beetle kill cleanup funded by a $647,400 grant from the Colorado State Forest Service. Crews from the Colorado Youth Corps Association will assist in a cleanup that will include the following parks: Golden Gate, State Forest, Steamboat Lake, Cheyenne Mountain, Sylvan Lake and Lone Mesa.

Randy Gerke, whose book “Outdoor Survival Guide” details a wealth of information on survival in the wild, will be among a group of Colorado authors at a 2-4 p.m. Saturday book signing at the Grand Junction Barnes & Noble store, 2451 Patterson Road.
