It’s time to submit photographs of your festive tannenbaum to the Native Holiday Tree Decoration contest.
The contest is limited to Colorado-grown trees cut from permit public land, or from a retail lot selling trees culled during restoration and wildfire-reduction projects.
Three categories each offer a first-place award of $100, and your tree’s picture in the Dec. 20 Denver Post.
The Best Charlie Brown Tree features trees “that might have significant imperfections,” as contest sponsor Colorado Forest Product tactfully puts it. The other categories are Best Theme, and Best Retro Colorado Holiday.
Entries are due by Dec. 11; submit digital photographs online to , or mail hard copy to Colorado Forest Products, PO Box 33, Lafayette, CO 80026.
