SILVERTON, Colo.—Two more Colorado ski areas are opening for the season.
Silverton Mountain in southwestern Colorado and Echo Mountain west of Denver are opening terrain on Wednesday. Echo is offering $29 lift tickets through Dec. 18 while Silverton has $39 tickets.
Silverton is also changing its operating schedule and says it will offer mid-week ski days early this season since Purgatory is only open on weekends for now.
