The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research recently granted Manisha Patel, an associate professor at the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Pharmacy, $300,000 to continue work on developing therapies for Parkinson’s disease.
University of Northern Colorado faculty member Steven Anderson will lead two NASA grant- funded projects totaling more than $1.1 million. Anderson was awarded a three-year, $410,000 NASA grant to establish a research program for teachers interested in climate change. Anderson also will partner on another $730,000 project to offer professional-development opportunities for elementary- and middle-school teachers.
