A long-term partnership to collaborate on Earth remote-sensing instruments, education and research was announced Thursday by the University of Colorado at Boulder and GeoOptics LLC, which has its space-systems operations in Golden.
CU’s Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics is expected to play a lead role in the development, manufacture, testing, launching and operation of GeoOptics’ Cicero system of 24 small satellites in 2011.
