Neighbors have identified the elderly woman that firefighters found dead inside a burning Lakewood home Saturday morning.
They said today that the victim is Sally Over, 84, a longtime resident. One neighbor told 7News that Over had lived alone in her house since her husband died in 2000.
West Metro Fire Rescue has not determined the cause of the fire, spokeswoman Michelle French said. She said they hope to have the official coroner’s report in a few days.
Firefighters were called to the 1300 block of South Pierce Street at 2:50 a.m. where they searched the one-story home. Over was already dead when they found her.
The fire took firefighters about 25 minutes to extinguish.
