The theme for Tennyson Center’s 32nd annual dinner was “All I Have to Do Is Dream,” and sure enough, it was a dream that came true. In keeping with tradition, organizers didn’t charge admission. But after hearing about the difference that staffers make in the lives of severely abused children, guests opened their pocketbooks wide, this year giving $567,975. Complaints about having to squeeze into a tuxedo or toe-pinching stiletto heels? None were heard at Museum After Dark, because the 600 guests at this benefit for Denver Museum of Nature & Science were encouraged to show up in whatever they’d wear for their favorite Colorado pastime. Skiwear and hiking boots were the most prevalent, although there were a good number of business suits and evening dresses. Read more about the party in Joanne Davidson’s Seen First blog: .
