WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court today will take up the appeal of imprisoned former media mogul Conrad Black, one of two upcoming cases the justices could use to reshape how prosecutors bring fraud cases against company executives.
At issue is a provision in the federal mail-fraud statute that gives prosecutors the authority to bring cases against executives who deprive companies of their honest services.
