The father of Najibullah Zazi was scheduled to go on trial this week in U.S. District Court in Denver, but the case has been postponed until January.

Mohammed Zazi is charged with lying to the FBI during an investigation into his son’s activities.

The younger Zazi is accused of conspiring to make a weapon of mass destruction and is facing trial in New York City.

On Jan. 28, Mohammed Zazi has a pretrial hearing in Denver to address how much of the evidence prosecutors have against him should be disclosed to the defense and the public.

In a separate development, one of Najibullah Zazi’s attorneys is no longer on the case. Arthur Folsom’s spokeswoman, Wendy Aiello, told The Associated Press on Monday that as of last month, Folsom is off the younger Zazi’s defense team. Folsom didn’t return messages.
