Police arrested a seventh-grader today on a charge he took an unloaded pistol to Arvada Middle School to show friends.
The 12-year-old was not named because of his age. No one was threatened with the gun, Arvada police said in a statement.
The boy faces a felony charge of unlawful possession of a handgun on school grounds and a misdemeanor charge of a juvenile in possession of a handgun.
