A water main break in Denver has traffic rerouted in the area of East 16th Avenue and Glencoe Street.
The 12-inch main broke this morning at about 3 a.m., said Stacy Chesney, a Denver Water spokeswoman.
About 20 homes in the area are without water today as crews work on repairing the broken line, Chesney said.
The break caused a large section of the street to collapse. The repair work should be finished by about 5 p.m., Chesney said.
Denver’s recent frigid weather may be partly to blame for the pipe bursting.
