Ice sculptures in Vail.
The third annual Triumph Winterfest exhibition, presented by Triumph Development and the Town of Vail, Art in Public Places, opens Jan. 15 and continues “until the ice melts.” The exhibition, titled “Are You Listening . . .,” is composed of seven ice sculptures along the Gore Creek Promenade in Vail Village. The family-friendly event is free. In the evening, the ice installation is illuminated with LEDs. At the lighting ceremony on the evening of Jan. 15, the public can peruse the sculptures and meet the artists while warming up by the Gore Creek fire pit. The artists will also be available for questions during the ceremony.
