LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook says setter Jessica Yanz is leaving the program.

Yanz appeared in 10 of 33 matches for the Cornhuskers this season after transferring from Penn State in 2008. She had 25 assists and 13 digs as a backup to All-American Sydney Anderson.

Yanz is graduating in May. She would have had another year of eligibility, but she said she and her parents believe it’s in her best interest to give up volleyball.

Before coming to Nebraska, the Bolingbrook, Ill., native played in 18 matches as a sophomore at Penn State in 2007.
