Getting your player ready...

LINCOLN, Neb.—The Nebraska football team will have a few days to rest before heading to San Diego on Friday to prepare for the Holiday Bowl.

Coach Bo Pelini says the key to bowl games is getting players enough practice time, but not too much. Players shouldn’t be worn out.

He says, “You have to find the balance.”

The Cornhuskers practiced for an hour and half on Saturday morning, then were released until Thursday. Informal workouts will be held in the meantime.

The team will leave for San Diego on Christmas Friday.

Nebraska plays Arizona in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30.
