A 7-year-old boy was killed, and his mother and two siblings were injured Friday morning in a single- vehicle crash in Las Animas County, authorities say.

Christy Mosman and two children, ages 9 and 10, were hospitalized following the 7:30 a.m. accident on Interstate 25, said Trooper David Hall, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.

Mosman, of Colorado Springs, was driving south when she veered off the right side of the road, overcorrected and swerved across the highway into the median, where her 2003 Kia Sedona rolled, throwing her and her 7-year-old son out of the minivan.

Her two children in the middle seat received moderate injuries.

Troopers are investigating the cause of the accident.
