Memories of 2009, with a twist
Like most sports-oriented TV series, HBO’s “Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel” (8 p.m. Tuesday) will look back, in roundtable style, at what happened in 2009.
But unlike most series, this hour will stray from the obvious to revisit stories that did not get major headlines on sports pages.
Included are reports on the proliferation of NFL players carrying guns, the wild world of professional bull riding and the controversial police shooting of minor-league player Robbie Tolan in Bellaire, Texas.
