DENVER—A man accused of killing Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams is still facing proceedings in connection with another unrelated shooting death.
Willie D. Clark is accused of arranging to kill a woman set to testify against another man in a drug case in December 2006. A judge is set to hear motions in that case on Monday in Denver.
Two others also face murder charges in that case.
Clark is a suspected gang member who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Williams on New Year’s Day in 2007. Williams was killed while riding in a rented limousine after leaving a party at a Denver nightclub.
Clark is scheduled to stand trial in Williams’ killing in February.
