The Colorado Eagles fell behind 2-0 after the first period and couldn’t recover as the visiting Rapid City Rush earned a 5-2 victory Sunday night in a Central Hockey League game in Loveland.
Brendon Hodge had two goals to lead Rapid City (18-8-1), which moved within four points of Colorado (20-5-1) in the CHL’s Northern Conference.
Fraser Filipic and Ryan Tobler scored for the Eagles, who dropped eight points behind Odessa (23-4-3) for the best record in the CHL.
