A nurse at a local Denver-area hospital has disappeared under what Brighton police say are suspicious circumstances.
The woman, Julie Ann Kilgore, was last seen about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home and told relatives she’d be back in about 15 minutes.
She left the residence with her fiance, Dennis Gene Cox.
Neither Kilgore nor Cox returned and she has not answered her cell phone since her disappearance.
Kilgore is 48 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and approximately 180 pounds with blonde or light brown hair and blue eyes.
Cox, 50, is 5 feet 11 inches, 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Kilgore and Cox left her Brighton residence in her vehicle, but it was found in a business parking lot approximately a block-and-half from her home. They are now believed to be in a tan 1993 Ford Tarus, with Colorado license plate FFL972.
Brighton police said there are several things about her disappearance that are out of character for Kilgore, who is a nurse. It is unknown if she left voluntarily or was the victim of a kidnapping.
At this time, Cox is considered a person of interest until more information is received.
Anyone who sees either Kilgore or Cox, or the vehicle, is asked to call Detective Paul White at the Brighton Police Department at 303-655-2324 or your local law enforcement agency.
