Former state legislative candidate Ali Hasan will kick off his campaign for state treasurer next week, joining two other Republicans trying to unseat Democratic Treasurer Cary Kennedy in 2010.
Hasan will be making his announcement at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the El Paso County Republican Party headquarters.
Also running for the GOP nomination are former banker J.J. Ament of Littleton and Walker Stapleton of Greenwood Village, a real-estate executive. Hasan, of Beaver Creek, is a business owner and film director. He unsuccessfully ran for the state House last year.
