ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $25 million for Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.

The winning numbers Wednesday were 20, 27, 29, 56 and 58. The Powerball was 31 and the Power Play number was 2.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $20 million jackpot.

A ticket sold in Tennessee matched the first five numbers only to win $200,000. The top prize in Colorado was $200 each for 28 Power Play tickets that matched other number combinations, Colorado Lottery officials said.

Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.

The game is now played in 31 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
