FORT WORTH, Texas — Zvonko Buljan’s 14 points and 11 rebounds led TCU to a 59-50 victory over Air Force on Wednesday night in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams.
Kevin Butler and Greg Hill scored 12 points each and Ronnie Moss added 10 for the Horned Frogs (8-7).
Air Force, playing without four starters because of injuries, erased a 31-18 halftime deficit by making five of its first six field-goal attempts in the second half. But the Falcons (8-6) hit just 6-of-23 shots the rest of the way.
Mike Fitzgerald and Taylor Broekhuis each scored 11 points to lead Air Force, which plays CSU on Saturday in Fort Collins. The Falcons have lost 17 regular-season MWC games in a row.
