Age: 17. Born: Jan. 20, 1992, in Greeley.

High school sport: Football (two-way lineman and linebacker, 2009 Class 1A all-state honorable mention by The Denver Post); wrestling (heavyweight, third place as a freshman; runner-up the past two seasons, 90-9 in career; track and field (weight throws, seventh in discus in 2009); Wendy’s Heisman winner.

Grade-point average: 4.0.

Class: Senior.

My favorite subject: College calculus.

My favorite athlete: Tim Tebow.

My favorite team: Stanford football.

What I listen to: Classic rock.

The best things on my training table: Hot dogs are my favorite.

Pregame ritual: I’m really superstitious: I wear the same headgear I’ve had since the seventh grade and always do the same things in the same order.

Time management tip: It’s busy for me, but you need good time management. When doing something, be completely focused on it. It helps get the most out of that experience.

Planned career: Civil engineering; signed to wrestle at Stanford.

My family: Parents John and Lori; brothers Spencer and Wade; sisters Ashley and Sarah.

I would love to visit: Greece or Rome.

What I like most about high school sports: Just the fact that you can be involved in a lot of sports on this level . . . you can find out what you do. And the camaraderie you build and the community behind it is great.

What I like least about high school sports: I like it all, but one thing I’d like to do if I could is add another season separate from wrestling.
