CENTENNIAL — Cathy Noon was sworn Monday in as the city’s second mayor, replacing Mayor Randy Pye, who could not run again because of term limits.
Noon has been instrumental since the city incorporated 10 years ago.
In the early years, Noon was chairwoman of a committee created to pass three initiatives to fund the city.
Pye was an original founder of the city of more than 100,000 people, which was the largest incorporation in U.S. history, according to the city.
