Getting your player ready...

Nuggets coach George Karl couldn’t gauge from this morning’s shootaround whether Ty Lawson would play tonight, and the coach said Lawson will go through an intense workout around 5:30 tonight to determine if his left ankle is sturdy enough to play against Orlando.

Lawson is Denver’s top reserve point guard but has missed the past three games due to the ankle sprain.

The rookie averages 9.5 points per game and 3.9 assists. If he doesn’t play tonight, Anthony Carter will assume the role as Chauncey Billups’ backup.

The Nuggets in recent weeks have been beset by injuries, with time missed for starting point guard Chauncey Billups, leading scorer Carmelo Anthony and reserve center Chris Andersen.
