Boulder’s KBCO radio station will be moving to a new studio in Clear Channel’s Denver Tech Center complex this spring, program manager Scott Arbough said Thursday.

Arbough said the station, founded in 1977 and now owned by Texas-based radio giant Clear Channel, will remain a Boulder station, despite having its studio in South Denver.

“It still is a Boulder station,” Arbough said. “We’re still licensed here. Most of us live here, and none of us plan to move, at least as far as I know.”

All the DJs and the program line-up on 97.3 FM will remain the same, and there will be no staff lay-offs, Arbough said. The station’s tower will remain on top of Eldorado Mountain, and its coverage area won’t change.

“As far as listeners are concerned, it won’t change at all,” he said.
