The theft happened between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hospice of St. John, 1320 Everett Court, according to a media release from the Lakewood Police Department.

The religious art work, valued at $12,000, is entitled “Transcendent Christ.” It was purchased by the hospice in 2007 and was sculpted by artist Lynn Kircher.
