
COLORADO SPRINGS — Andrew Hamburg and Brian McMillin scored two goals apiece as Colorado College snapped a losing streak with a 6-5 win over third-ranked Wisconsin on Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The eighth-ranked Tigers (13-8-3, 9-6-3 WCHA) had lost their previous four games. With the win, they moved ahead of Wisconsin (13-6-3, 9-5-2) into third place in the conference.
The Badgers lost for the first time in eight games.
Hamburg opened the scoring and closed the first period with goals, giving the Tigers a 4-1 lead.
McMillin also scored twice in the first period.
Tyler Johnson had a goal and Bill Sweatt netted what proved to be the game- winner midway through the third period.
Ben Street scored twice for the Badgers and Michael Davies had three assists.
Joe Howe made 35 saves for Colorado College.
Air Force 3, Bentley 0
WATERTOWN, Mass. — Andrew Volkening stopped all 24 shots he faced to earn his third shutout of the season and 14th of his career as Air Force blanked Bentley to move into sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Hockey Association.
Freshman Kyle De Laurell put the Falcons (11-8-5) on the scoreboard in the first period. Air Force’s Paul Weisbarger scored about four minutes later and Stephen Carew added a goal in the third period.
