A former Colorado teacher will spend at least the next three years in prison for sexually assaulting a child.
Nathan Smith was sentenced to three years to life Monday in a Yuma County courtroom. Smith pleaded guilty after being arrested by police in Wray last summer.
At the time of his arrest, Smith was a math teacher and varsity basketball coach at Wray High School. He resigned a short time later.
