LINCOLN, Neb.—The Huskers will open their 2010 Big 12 football conference season at Kansas State in a nationally televised game from Manhattan.

A news release from the Nebraska athletic department says game had been scheduled for Oct. 2 but was moved to Oct. 7 to accommodate ESPN’s broadcast plans.

With no game on Oct. 2, the change moves up Nebraska’s bye week.

The university says Nebraska is 5-0 in televised Thursday night games.

Nebraska opens its 2010 season on Sept. 4 against Western Kentucky in Lincoln.
