The fifth annual pajama party to benefit Denver’s Road Home raised $860,000, up from $500,000 last year. In PJ Day’s first year, the event raised $60,000.

Denver’s Road Home has used funds from the event to create 1,500 new housing units, employ 3,278 homeless people and mentor 564 families and seniors out of homelessness, among other projects. The $860,000 raised this year will help make up for the $1.5 million budget cut the project took in February.
