People in the fashion, beauty and entertainment worlds who are known by just one name have usually managed to become famous by being very good at what they do. Count Oribe among them. For 30 years, Oribe (whose last name is Canales, by the way) has styled hair for top photographers, designers and magazines as well as a private clientele. The late Gianni Versace was a mentor who inspired Oribe’s tattoos. Oribe developed a range of products that are now sold in select salons around the country, including Luxe Salon in Denver. The line ranges from shampoos and conditioners to a 24k gold pomade and products are geared to maximize such qualities as color, control volume and shine.
