ConocoPhillips Co. agreed to pay a $175,000 fine levied by the Environmental Protection Agency and install pollution-control equipment and implement other emission-reduction practices at the Argenta and Sunnyside Compressor Stations on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation near Ignacio.
ConocoPhillips also will reduce emissions at wells leading to the facilities.
